This design features some of the unique courtship behaviours of the birds in Singapore.
The Power Couple--White-bellied sea eagle
These majestic sea eagles perform dramatic aerial courtship displays, soaring high together and locking talons in spectacular mid-air acrobatics.
The BTO Couple--Baya Weaver
The male begins building an elaborate hanging nest to attract a female. If she approves, he finishes the nest (sometimes with her), making them the ultimate BTO couple.
The Polite Couple--Zebra Dove
The male zebra dove courts by bowing, lifting his tail, making soft gentle cooing calls. So polite!
The Dad Instinct? Couple-- Blue-crowned hanging parrot
One of the more unusual courtship behaviours on this list. Besdies showing potential nesting sites, the male also regurgitates food for the female, a behaviours thought to demonstrate his ability to provide.
The Dancing Couple--Crimson Sunbird
The male puffs up his brilliant feathers, hovers, and performs an energetic dance to impress the female.
The Foodie Couple--Oriental Pied Hornbill
Food plays an important role during courtship. The male offers food to the female as part of display of affectionate. I mean... who doesn’t love food, right?
